Ronald Siso is a Venezuelan native conductor and composer. He began his music studies at a young age in the worldwide known orchestral program “El Sistema,” where he studied music theory, composition, and conducting. He was under the mentorship of some of the most renowned Venezuelan Maestros such as Juan Soublette, Jose Luis Segnini, and Waldemar D’Lima. Maestro D’Lima formed part of the first generation of musicians from El Sistema.
Mr. Siso has been commissioned a number of times to arrange pieces for concerts and festivals, including the Latin American Doublebass Festival in Venezuela. Since his arrival to the US in 2010, Ronald has been an advocate for the development of programs like El Sistema in the USA. In 2013, he founded El Sistema Pittsburgh.
